Who We Are

Paradise Valley Community Church was established in 1953. The intent of the founders was "...by God's grace to establish, according to the New Testament pattern, an independent, fundamental, denominationally unrelated church."

Today, we remain true to those objectives as we remain a non-denominational, independent Bible Church, recognizing all believers whose faith is in Christ alone for their salvation.

Our values and priorities include the following:

Genuine worship of God in spirit and in truth

Practical, relevant preaching and teaching of God's Word

Loving, caring relationships within the family of God

Reaching those for whom Jesus died with the Good News of the Gospel, both at home and abroad

Serving one another in the love of Christ

Why We Exist

Paradise Valley Community Church exists to glorify God by personally knowing Jesus Christ and making Him known to our neighbors and the nations.

We believe the two purposes for the Church are the evangelism of those Jesus died to save and the edification of those who trusting Him for salvation.

Through the proclamation of the Gospel we reach out with the good news and by the dedicated teaching of the Word of God we build up the Body of Christ.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age'" (Matthew 28:18-20, NIV).

We Believe

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; Hebrews 1:1-3; John 1:1, 14).

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35).

We believe that Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and our justification was made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 2:24).

We believe man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, bringing upon himself and his race both physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God, and consequently all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12).

We believe salvation is by grace through faith, and all who receive the Lord Jesus are born again into God's family (John 1:12; Galatians 3:22; Ephesians 2:8-10).

We believe in the personal, imminent, return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 3:10).
